Member-initiated opt-out
You can stop rent reporting by opting out through Boom’s customer service or using in-app options in Chime.
If you opt out through Boom, Chime will be notified and display a confirmation in the app.
If you prefer to opt out in the Chime app:
- Go to your Profile.
- Select End Reporting, or update your lease details and choose to end your lease.
Once your request is processed, Boom will stop rent reporting and close the associated tradeline.
Lease termination
If your lease expires or ends, you can manage your lease status in the app to stop rent reporting.
You can end your lease at any time. As the expiration date approaches, Chime will send reminders to update your lease. During this process, you can also confirm if you’ve switched to a month-to-month lease.
Once your lease is ended, the rent reporting tradeline is closed, and you’ll receive confirmation from Chime. Timely notifications help ensure your lease info stays up to date.
