Here are some ways to help protect your account:
Keep your account information safe
- Update your password regularly, especially if something looks unusual. Updating your password will sign you out of other active sessions.
- Use strong, unique passwords and avoid reusing them across other accounts.
- Make sure the email linked to your Chime account is also protected with a strong, unique password.
- Don’t share your login information or verification codes with anyone. Chime will never call or text you without your authorization, and we will only ask for a code when you contact us. Anyone else asking for a code isn’t Chime.
- Keep your phone number and email on file up to date.
Monitor your account
- Turn on account alerts to stay updated on important activity.
- Check your account regularly and review any transactions you don’t recognize.
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA). Visit Security Center: Passkeys, two-factor authentication (2FA), account protection to learn more.
Protect your card
- Freeze your card to temporarily stop new card transactions. For step-by-step instructions, visit How can I enable or disable transactions on my card?
If you ever see something suspicious, contact Chime at (844) 244-6363.
