How Chime notifies winners
Current Chime members: Your cash prize will be deposited directly into your Chime Checking Account within 10 business days of the winners are drawn.You do not need to take any additional action.
Non-members: The Chime Social team will reach out by direct message (DM) from the verified @Chime account on social media. You will have 24 hours to respond. To claim a cash prize, you will need to open a Chime account.
Non-cash prizes: If you win a non-cash prize, Chime will send you an email with instructions. You may need to respond to that email to claim your prize.
How to spot a scam
Chime will never ask you to pay a fee or provide sensitive information, such as your account number, password, or Social Security to deliver a prize. Any message asking for payment, account details, passwords, or other personal information to claim a prize is likely fraudulent.
Always check that any social media message claiming to be from Chime comes from the official @Chime account with a verified checkmark. Scam accounts often use similar names or handles that look like the real thing.
