How do I link or unlink an external account to my Spending Insights?

We’ve updated our Spending Insights Page to include data from your linked external accounts. This means you can now see your spending activity from other external accounts right alongside your Chime transactions—all in one place.

You can choose which accounts to link, and you can view or manage them at any time. 

To link an external account to your Spending Insights: 

  1. Go to your Insights page. 

  2. Tap on the + symbol on the upper right corner of the screen. 

  3. Tap Continue

  4. On the Plaid screen, tap Continue to agree to the Privacy Policy. 

  5. Enter your mobile number. 

  6. Enter the code sent to your mobile number. 

  7. Select the account you wish to link. 

  8. Tap Confirm

To unlink an external account: 

  1. Go to your Insights page. 

  2. Tap on the slider icon beside the + symbol. This will pull up a filter menu of your linked accounts. 

  3. Tap on Edit

  4. Look for the account you wish to unlink, then tap on the ellipsis symbol. 

  5. Tap on Unlink account

  6. Confirm your selection by tapping on the red Unlink button.
