Troubleshoot Apple Pay on Chime

Apple Pay is not showing as a payment option

Apple Pay may not appear if one of the following conditions is not met:

  • Your iOS device is not supported.

  • You have not added a non-Chime debit card to your Apple Wallet.

  • Your Chime app is not updated to the latest version.

Try updating your app or checking your Apple Wallet settings. If the issue continues, use a linked external account to transfer money via ACH instead.

Card details error with Apple Pay

If you see a card details error while using Apple Pay to add money, check the following:

  • Your card numberexpiration date, and CVV are correct.

  • Your billing address matches what is on file with Chime.

  • The name on the card matches the name on your Chime account.

If the error continues, try a different external debit card or link an external account and use ACH to transfer money instead.

Apple Pay transfer failed or is not going through

If your Apple Pay transfer did not complete, it may be due to one of the following:

  • Transfer limit reached: If you have reached your card transfer limit, wait for it to reset or use ACH from a linked bank account.

  • Card restrictions: Your external debit card may be restricted or may not have enough funds available.

  • Bank restrictions: Some banks block certain transaction types.

Try a different external debit card. If the issue continues, link an external bank account and transfer money using ACH.
